I feel privileged to call Castlemaine, Victoria, Australia—land of the Dja Dja Wurrung peoples for thousands of years—my home.

My artistic journey has unfolded alongside my work as both an architect and landscape architect, involving collaborations on numerous high-profile international projects.

Throughout my career, I've been captivated by how human activity interacts with the rhythms of the natural world and by the critical role a healthy environment plays in sustaining life.

My art explores colour, light, and contrasting forms to capture brief moments, inviting viewers to join me in this discovery and reflect on the beauty in the random arrangements that shape our landscapes, as well as how time leaves its mark upon them.

Working from my initial plein air sketches and paintings from the bush and settlements around my region, my quest is to find creative energy in the quiet solitude of the land and use it as a springboard for my oil paintings.

If I'm able to uncover something deeper than mere visual beauty, then I consider my efforts successful.
